On
October 4th 2007 we sponsored the Chinese Arts Centre’s 21st birthday
and our own resident Chinese chef (Robert Gong) cooked up the authentic
dim sum.
The Chinese Arts Centre was established in
1986 by a group of British Chinese artists based in Manchester.
The orginal centre was based in Chinatown, and was financially
supported by Manchester City Council and Arts Council England. Today
the gallery can be found in the Northern Quarter, its a magnificent
space and includes an artist residency studio and apartment, an
education suite, resource area, offices, shop and teahouse.
To celebrate their 21st birthday they showcased a fantastic
exhibition; Boutique.
